Vantec 7-Port Hub

Before USB, there were literally dozens of different standards for connecting all the varied devices to a PC. Com, parallel, external SCSI, and PS/2 ports were needed to connect things like printers, scanners, network adapters, external drives, keyboards, and mice. UBS eliminated the need for all those various standards for one high speed universal connection. Now almost every imaginable device that can connect to a PC uses USB. As the number USB enabled devices grew, so did another issue, there was often not enough USB connectors on a computer to connect everything at once. The USB hub was born, but the was still another issue that needs to be resolved, limited charging power. Vantec offers a solution to that, their 7-Port USB 3.0 Hub + 2-Port Smart Charging adapter which we will be looking at today.

Logitech G502

The computer mouse is something that’s been around since the computer itself basically. The simple computer mouse evolved from a trackball with a single button to laser mice with multitudes of buttons, adjustable DPI, scroll wheels, LCD screens and more. The mouse we’ve got today from our good friends over at Logitech falls into the latter category. Enter the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. The Logitech G502 has 5 buttons, an unlockable scroll wheel (more on that later), adjustable DPI, adjustable weights and more.

Tt eSPORTS Verto

When it comes to getting sound out of your PC we have two options speakers, or a headset. Usually to get the most out of your gaming experience you have to turn the volume up and if there are other people in the house they might not appreciate that. That brings us to our other choice the headset. Now, most gaming is done with a headset, they help immerse you into the game making the environment seam more alive. Also with the widespread use of VIOP such as Curse, Ventrillo, and Team Speak, a good working headset is desired by eSport gamers everywhere. Vantec NexStar

It is a question that is almost as old as the computer hard drive itself. What do I do with this old hard drive? As soon as people started upgrading the storage on their computers, that question has been asked. For quite some time, the options were limited. You could reuse it, sell it, or recycle it. Recently though, a new option has emerged, you can now re-purpose it. This brings us to the Vantec NexStar WiFI. The Vantec NexStar WiFI allows a person to use any new or not so new 2.5 SATA I/II/III to create a portable drive. Vatec has also made sure that there are numerous connection options as well. The enclosure can be connected by USB 3.0 or by WiFi. This alone would seem to be a great option, but they chose to take it a step further, by adding connection options Android OS and Apple iOS devices as well. iOS devices can also use AirPlay to stream content as well. This all sounds very intriguing.
