A Closer Look - The Chair
The finished product is beautiful.
The RapidX Ferrino comes is several different color schemes. What I received was the red on black Ferrino with diamond stitching on the back and seat. However, the Ferrino comes in 6 different colors you can choose from. All chairs in the lineup and the base color black with diamond stitching on the back in seat. They all also have the same two and half inch colored strip on the outer edge of the chair. You can choose from blue, brown, pink, red, white, or solid black chair.
Once the chairs put together you can appreciate the true beauty of this chair. The Ferrino is mostly all-black with a single, 2.5” red strip that wraps the outer edge of the chair. On the back of the chair as well as the seat there is a diamond stitched pattern that looks excellent. The neck pillow, lumbar pillow and the chair itself are made from a dense polyurethane foam core and are designed to give you the same support as seats in a Formula One racing car. When combined with the neck and lumbar pillow, the chair is orthopedically designed to support your spine. In speaking as someone with a very bad back, this chair has been amazing while at work. Other gaming chairs that I’ve tried in the past left my back stiff and sore after working all day. However, the Ferrino from RapidX did not have the same effect.

The Ferrino features 3D adjustable armrests. The armrest cannot only be raised and lowered to adjust for height, they can also be pushed forward and back to adjust for length. Another great feature of the armrests is that they can be positioned in 3 different angles. This is yet another way that the Ferrino can be adjusted to the most comfortable position for whoever is using. The back rest on the Ferrino can recline to an unbelievable 155°. I’m not ashamed to admit that there’s been several times while at work that I recline the chair kicked up my feet and taken a nap right in this chair. Sometimes for several hours. And I wake up feeling refreshed. I don’t feel as if I’d been sleeping in an office chair.
The Ferrino can recline a full 155° and is a great place to take a power nap.
Here is the armrest standard position.
The armrest can tilt in towards the chair a little.
The armrest can tilt away from the chair as well.
Hydraulic lift cylinder adjusts the seat height from 14 inches up to 16.6 inches. The armrests are also adjustable from 11.8 inches to 14.5 inches in height. Between adjusting the height of the chair, as well as the height of the armrests you can adjust the height of the chair to fit under essentially any desk. The chair is rated to support up to 265 pounds or 150 kgs. Like most other computer chairs, the chair can spin to complete 360° as well as rock slightly. The handle that allows the chair to go up and down can also walk in place to prevent the back from rocking. The chair spins smoothly and quietly unlike cheaper chairs that can make a squeaking or creaking noise when they spin. The wheels help the chair glide smoothly across any surface, even carpet.
This handle allows a general up and down as well as locks the back in place to prevent it from rocking.
The front of the headrest has an X sewn into it.
The back of the headrest has the RapidX logo sewn onto it.
The high back of the chair has the traditional racing style gaming chair design.
Here you can see a close up of the red, diamond pattern stitching on the chair back and seat.
The bucket style seat has nearly 4 inches of foam padding. Making this a very comfortable seat, even after hours on end it.
The removable lumbar pillow provides excellent support for a sore back.
The lumbar pillow straps around the back and buckles in place.
Including the neck pillow straps around the top of the chair back, it is made from a very dense memory foam and took a little while to break in. Once it did it is very comfortable.
The Ferrino is the traditional high back in bucket seat design of a racing style gaming chair.
The 5 wheels swivel in the base spin 360°.
