Final Thoughts & Conclusion
GeIL’s EVO X memory turns in strong performance for a 3000MHz dual channel memory kit, and does it with style and elegance few other kits can match. While it didn’t overclock as well as some other gaming related kits, the extra 333MHz we were able to squeeze out of it made a significant positive difference thanks to no having to relax the timings.
The independent RGB lighting setup offers something no other RGB kit on the market offers: flexibility and system light sync with compatible motherboards. If you don’t have an RGB equipped motherboard, the manual lighting controls built into the modules offer something you might not have realized you were even missing. The large 16GB modules comprising this 32GB kit allow a staggering 64GB of system memory on any dual channel board with 4 dimm slots, so there are no compromises between speed, capacity and style, this is definitely a win for gamers everywhere. You can find the 32GB kit at Newegg for $244.99 at the time of this writing, the 16GB kit at Amazon for $149.99
Overall, this is an excellent kit and we can’t fault it for any reason. Awesome looks, great performance, and nearly unlimited flexibility make this one of the nicest kits we’ve had the pleasure of reviewing. Great job GeIL!
