Packaging & Unboxing
No one can say GeIL’s EVO X packaging isn’t colorful. A full color picture of one ram module with red lighting on covers most of the front next to the EVO X logo. The bottom left corner is dominated with logos from ASUS and MSI advertising compatibility with their RGB lighting solutions.
The rear of the box shows 4 modules installed on a board to demonstrate. The kit information is on a sticker right in the center. In this case, this kit is a 32GB kit made up of 2x 16GB modules, rated 3000Mhz @ 15-17-17-35 Timings.
Both sides of the box are the same, black with the EVO X logo and the ‘Hardcore Gaming Memory” slogan, as well as the DDR4 logo.
Inside the Box are two clam-shell packages, each with one ram module and one set of cables. The heavy plastic shells do well to protect the memory until installation.
Opening everything up, you get the two ram modules, two RGB “Y” cables, and a simple fan header to power cable that lets the modules run the lighting on any board, even if it doesn’t have an RGB header.
