Patriot Viper Elite 16GB DDR4 3200

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

The Viper Elite 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 3200MHz memory kit is everything I expected. They outperformed every other dual channel DDR4 kit we have tested do far. While we did not expect much overclocking headroom, given the rather high default speed, we pleasantly surprised. 3600MHz is quite impressive and was relatively easy to obtain. The bonus is that it only required a very mild .025 bump voltage too.

The combination of grey/polished body and red accent really make the Viper Elite a stand out. They would make a great match to the many red trimmed gaming motherboards on the market. At 43mm tall, the modules are on taller side, but have a presence to them that I think will also appeal to many users. The green PCB is a bit of a turn off, but I hardly found it noticeable once install in a motherboard, so it is only a minor peeve.

At the time of testing, the Viper Elite 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 3200MHz retails for $104.99. This is on the steep side, but you can find it for a more reasonable $74.99 on Amazon. Like all Patriot memory, they feature a lifetime warranty.
