If you’re looking for a quick answer to the main question on your mind right now, then the answer is yes. The Kingston SDCG 64GB MicroSDXC card will work fine in your high speed 4K video camera. Now, that said, if you want to learn a little bit more about this little Micro SD Card “that can”, then read on.
The industry standard for today’s 4K, 2K class movie gear is taking more and more memory and they need to write it faster and faster. For the present day, the atypical GoPro 4K type camera records at a minimum speed needed of greater than 30MB/s write speed or higher.
So, this is our industry based marker for our tests we will use. We will compare this disk with the industry standard or base of the 30MB/s as of the time of this review and not against any other brands. I know in a few years these (base Numbers) or minimum numbers per second, will change to faster ones just let Moore’s Law keeps moving on.
Plus, these mighty micro SDXC cards can sometimes be dragged through the “Adrenaline Rushed” lifestyles of some of the most adventurous people around the globe and they are not afraid of getting dirty or defying extremes of any kind. They also experience high (G) factors and vibrations enough to kill the average Sony Walkman, so you need a card that can hold up to all these extremes, but you don’t want to spend a whole lot of money either, right? Yeah.
The GoPro 4K drone craze has taken on legs and seems to break ever more boundaries as time and technology continues to excite all in this new field. The all-terrain and all-climate photography system demands with newer micro SD Cards are high but, can this Kingston Technologies can operate in their camera’s 633x transfer speed?
