Packaging & Unboxing
The front of MSI’s X299 Gaming M7 ACK box is more than half covered with a picture of the board lit up. MSI’s familiar dragon log adorns the top left corner and the Enthusiast Gaming Series logo anchors the bottom left. The product name is front and center.
The rear of the box is very colorful and covers all the bases. A listing of the major features of this board, a picture of the board, a listing of the basic specifications, a rear I/O port list, and quite a few emblems cover the box.
One end of the box has some very basic specs in quite a few languages, and the other 3 just have the model of the board.
Opening the box we find the motherboard in an ESD bag sitting in a cardboard tray. We have removed the bag and installed the CPU here.
Under the motherboard tray is all of the accessories. The pile of documentation and driver CD in one compartment, SATA cables and SLI bridge in another, and a nice cloth goodie bag in the last compartment.
Being a top end board, the X299 Gaming M7 ACK comes with quite a pile of goodies. Inside the cloth bag is the I/O Shield, the dual band Wifi Antennas, and the RGB extension cables. You get special screws for mounting your 3D Printed creations, a basic High-Bandwidth SLI Bridge for Nvidia SLI, 4x SATA Cables, some cable labels, and a huge pile of helpful documentation including a Thank you letter from MSI.
