A Closer Look
The packaging is strong enough to protect the Crucial BX300 on its long multi-leg journey.
The back of the box shows the contents of the box and enough information to help the end user make an intelligent decision on its purchase.
We found an install manual and an Acronis key (yes we blanked it out) inside the box and the Acronis limited edition key is always nice for cloning your existing HD to your new faster SSD. By limited usually, these keys are limited to cloning only and not a full edition of Acronis.
Getting into the box we find a half clamshell with our prize nestled inside well protected.
Under the drive, we find the adaptor that changes it from a 7mm to a 9.5mm drive to accommodate a wider variety of machines.
Driven by an SMI SM2258 4 channel controller and uses a bit of SDRAM for an active cache and leverages Micron 3D MLC flash so even aimed at a budget market the drive is well heeled.
