Anvil's Storage Utilities Tests
Anvil's Storage Utilities is a powerful, but an older, but still relevant performance measurement tool for traditional hard drives and SSDs. The tool can monitor and test read and write speeds on hard drives while also providing information from the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) that provides basic information about the disk and its parameters, including partitions and volumes
On Anvil’s O-Fill test, the 240gb Patriot Hellfire achieved 2429.42 MB/s on the sequential read and 1424.20 MB/s on the sequential writes.
On Anvil’s 100% Incompressible test, the 240gb Patriot Hellfire achieved 1986.42 MB/s on the sequential read and 417.45 MB/s on the sequential writes. These results are much lower than the advertised speeds, especially the write speeds.
In the threaded Queue Depth Mixed IO test, the 240 gb Hellfire recorded about 21,035 Random Read/Write IOPS.
In the threaded Queue Depth test, the 240 gb Hellfire recorded about 141,960.4 Random Read IOPS.
In the threaded Queue Depth test, the 240 gb Hellfire recorded about 2670 Random Write IOPS.
