Ashampoo HDD Control 3 Tests
Ashampoo HDD Control 3 is a program that monitors on your computer's hard drive, including solid-state drives, logical drives, and removable and network drives. It cleans and defragments drives, erases online tracks, securely deletes files, and even restore some files. It monitors power-on count, disk temperature, and other conditions and issues alerts at specified thresholds. It's compatible with S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology), Automatic Acoustic Management, and Advanced Power Management.
Ashampoo’s HDD Control 3 utility gives you a fair amount of information including model number, serial number and temperature of the drive. You are also given the option to defrag the drive as well as the ability to clean it up.
The Ashampoo HDD Control test recorded an average read speed of2410 MB/s. This was with a minimum of 1290 MB/S and a Maximum of 2600 MB/s. Although the max read speeds are slightly lower than advertised, they are about when the Phison PS5007-E7 controller advertises.
