In this article, we will be presenting to you our very own Brawlhalla Tier List.

If you love free-to-play fighting games, then you are in the right place (in this case, website) because here we will be talking about Brawlhalla and its Legends, the playable characters.  And then, we will be showing you our own take on a Brawlhalla Tier List that will help level up your gaming experience.

In most of the game modes available in Brawlhalla, the ultimate goal is to knock one’s opponent off the stage, i.e. the four dimensions of the screen. Even so, it’s an incredibly competitive game that features simple controls and one-button special moves; this game will surely give you some adrenaline rush!

That said, this article is specifically made for those who are bursting with competitiveness. This is also made to help you guys find out the best Legends in the games without needing to spend a million hours playing each one of them.

Now, let’s jump to our Brawlhalla Tier List!

BRAWLHALLA TIER LIST

Like most tier lists, this one will be listing Brawlhalla’s characters from strongest to weakest.

S-Tier

Here we have added the characters that are absolute beasts in the game. You have a significant advantage just by picking these characters, and if you learn how to chain their attacks correctly, you are going to see the enemies dying faster than you ever thought is possible. You should spend time learning their attacks and mastering their toolkit, it will help you climb the ranks faster.

  • Jaeyun
  • Koji
  • Magyar
  • Mako
  • Onyx
  • Scarlet
  • Teros
A-Tier

After the crazy overpowered S-Tier, we get to the mildly overpowered A-Tier. This means that they are still characters that if you master their combos and strings you can destroy most opponents. They have very few openings, and the enemy needs to be very experienced to take advantage of them. Just be careful not to pick them against characters that counter them hard.

  • Ada
  • Azoth
  • Kor
  • Lin Fei
  • Lord Vraxx
  • Petra
  • Queen Nai
  • Sentinel
  • Thor
  • Vector
  • Wu Shang
  • Zariel
B-Tier

We can talk all day if some of these characters should be high or lower on this list. They don’t have a clear advantage like the legends in the A or S Tiers, but they don’t have a clear disadvantage either. It all depends on how much time you put into getting familiar with their combo. If you put in your time, they will reward you for sure. Otherwise, it’s better to just pick the “cheating” ones.

  • Barraza
  • Cassidy
  • Diana
  • Ember
  • Hattori
  • Kaya
  • Ragnir
  • Rayman
  • Sidra
  • Thatch
  • Ulgrim
  • Yumiko
C-Tier

Contrary to the balanced legends of B-Tier, here we are starting to suffer some negatives. It might be that the mix-ups they offer are very limited, or that the frame data they have are bad compared to the ones higher on this list. Of course, if you are a Diamond player, you are going to make these characters look overpowered but for the average player, they are not that great.

  • Brynn
  • Caspian
  • Cross
  • Fait
  • Mirage
  • Mordex
  • Nix
  • Orion
  • Val
  • Volkov
  • Xull
LOL-Tier

These characters are not exactly for laughing. Maybe for crying. You are at a significant disadvantage when you are picking them, since they have weak attacks, and their combos can barely push the enemy off the platform. We would suggest you ignore these legends.

  • Artemis
  • Asuri
  • Bodvar
  • Dusk
  • Gnash
  • Isaiah
  • Jhala
  • Jiro
  • Lucien
  • Sir Roland

Brawlhalla Tier List: Strongest Legend

If you want to bully your enemies without mercy, then the character you must choose is Jaeyun.

STATISTICS

Strength⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✰✰✰✰
Dexterity⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✰✰✰✰✰
Defense⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✰✰✰✰✰
Speed⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✰✰✰✰

Jaeyun with the broadsword is not only strong because he is a broadsword legend (they are the best without a doubt) but also because his signature moves are extremely strong. And he has two that not only help him push his opponent all the way to Mars but can also be used to recover.

Serving as the cherry on top is Jaeyun’s collection of super cool skins that makes him even more badass. You can choose from the mysterious Death Jester, valiant Gilded Glory, honorable Hanbok, and, of course, that skin that will sweep you off your feet, Hwarang. With a score of six for strength, five for dexterity, five for defense, and six for speed, you can’t go wrong with Jaeyun.

Brawlhalla: S-Tier Legends

Enough Jaeyun talk – let’s look at the other S-Tier Legends and look at their stats, weapons,  and some of their signature moves which make them stronger than the other Legends in Brawlhalla.

Koji | The Wanderer, Honor’s Blade

Koji’s main weapon is the Bow; his secondary weapon is the Sword. With these, his signature moves can either be short- or long-ranged. Koji can be aggressive with his quick and high-damage Bow attacks; and with his Sword, he can perform combo attacks which is both good for offense and defense.

Scarlet | Lady Necessity, The daVinci of Steam

Another wielder of the Grappler Hammer, Scarlet can use this heavy weapon to deal equally heavy damage to enemies which also knock them back, giving you more time to plan your next attack.

Scarlet’s other weapon of choice is the Rocket Lance, which is a weapon with a metal edge on one side and a rocket booster on the other. Most legends use this weapon for mid-range fast attacks.

Brawlhalla: Game Updates

In January 2022, Brawlhalla launched their latest season in the Patch 6.03 update: Season 5 Galactic War.

Players are automatically granted the battle pass after the update, which brings so much new content in the game such as new maps (we got 2 this season!), and a new game mode added in the Brawl of the Week, the Ghosts Bubble Tag.   The event uses the Bubble Tag game mode, where two teams face off against each other, and any Legend hit by any attack will be trapped in a bubble until an ally touches the bubble to free their teammate. The twist is the Ghost Brawl rules, players that aren’t using powers can go invisible.

The Battle Pass also comes with season-exclusive items such as UI themes, special Avatars, Emotes, animated sidekick, weapon skin, and many more!

Although we didn’t get a new Legend in this update, the patch included several balance changes to weapons, and improvements to signature moves which better match their overall utility.

Brawlhalla: FAQs

Q: Is Brawlhalla a pay-to-win game?

A: No. And we don’t see this changing any time soon, and may never happen at all (at least that’s what the devs promised). The only thing you have to pay for in this game is for cosmetic purposes, and hey, if that skin makes you feel more powerful than those using generic ones, then why not?!

Q: Why is my Legend stuck in the air after an attack?

A: It’s not a bug, it’s called Gravity Canceling which is a mechanic in the game. It can be done by neutral dodging while in the air and then canceling it with an attack.

Q: How many Legends does Brawhalla currently have?

A: The last time we checked, there were 54 Legends. The devs are continuously updating the game, and more Legends can be introduced in the future.

Q: How do I level up in Brawlhalla?

A: Experience points (XP) are earned after every match. This XP can be used to level up both your account and the Legends you used in the match. The level caps at 100. Leveling up rewards you with items or gold coins that you can use to purchase other items.

Q: What are the different Ranks in Brawlhalla?

A: There are currently 6 ranks: Tin, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. These are used in the competitive game mode called “Ranked”, where players battle out (1v1 or 2v2) on a randomly selected map. At the end of every season, players who have played more than 10 games will earn a Ranked Avatar which is based on their highest rank from the season.

Brawlhalla: Consoles and Game Modes

Playable across multiple platforms like Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, Brawlhalla is a game that will spark your competitive spirit without costing anything — not even a single penny. This 2D platformer fighting game is promised to be eternally free, with no pay-to-win advantages and no in-game purchases.

Developed by Blue Mammoth Games and published by Ubisoft, Brawlhalla can include up to four players. They can explore and enjoy team games, custom games, as well as local play options. Currently, Brawlhalla offers five game modes: Arcade, Custom Online, Local Match, Online, and Training.

Conclusion

What is better than playing the game that you love for free? Probably winning at said game. If that is your definition of fun, we would suggest that you try and unlock the legends at the top of this Brawlhalla Tier List. Of course, you should also start practicing them because, as the overused quote says, practice makes perfect. It really does. You will soon dominate your opponents.

If, however, you are looking for a challenge, any kind of legend should work. Especially if you want to put your skill to the test. You can also take things up a notch by getting on the Battle Pass Season 4  update. After all, Brawlhalla Season 4 – The Exalted Lion is bringing in new battle pass, skins, sidekicks, avatars, and a whole lot more.

In sum, Brawlhalla is an amazingly fun game to play, even if you are losing (lies).
