James, your wish is my command. LoL.

Today, finally got a chance to actually do some thing to the case besides look at it.

I stripped the case of all its external panels and wiring. And drilled out the HDD cage because the 240 rad would not fit in the bottom of the case. Funny thing about the case is the front fan is screwed in like normal, but the HDD cage is rivetted in. So, if the fan was to fail you would have to rivet out the HDD cage to remove it.

A look at the inside of the case before I gutted it.

HDD all lonely.

I guess I can start prepping the rads for placement. Dont have anything else to do right now. The fans will be placed in a push/pull configuration for better cooling performance.

Last week got a shipment from Frozen CPU for the new Monsoon compression fittings. These things are sweet. Ordered the matte black ones but placed a second order for some shiny black ones to better match the rads.

A little teaser. I did some test fitting to see how things would look. I am impressed. But there is too much room around the rads for my liking so I put in an order for some arcylic sheets: red and black.

Today, I get a chance to break out the Dremel Saw Max my wife got me for my birthday. Got some arcylic sheets to practice cutting and bending. But have to run tot he store to get the heat gun for bencing.

Everyday something different comes to my head on what I can do to enchance the build, so this may take longer than I thought.

Awesome shots Tony looks like things are coming along nicely. It looks like you could fit a 140 by 3 rad in the top maybe??

Anonymous

That's a LOT of fans haha Good thing about that though, is less need for high RPMs, so the noise should still be low :)

Looks sweet. Can't wait to see what it'll do for the Sandy's OCs :D

Ok, a couple of days ago the wifey and the kids got daddy some new toys. First was a wood work bench. Been wanting one for months. And the rest of the gifts was just to get me started. Can't wait to dig in.

Enermax was nice enough to allow me to get a couple more fans for the build. Thanks Peter.

Well, during the build I got sick and had to go thru some treatments. So money became really tight. Something had to go and it was this build.

You can never have to many tools. It's always a slow process obtaining tools over years. You never know how expensive they are until you need them.

That is so true. I have come to the conclusion that it will take years to collect the tools i want. I got the three piece tool chest for Father's Day. And then a simple set of mechanic tools. Anything else will have to come over a period of time. No worries tho.

Will there be any paint ? :D

Times are tough and tools are definitely something you need to collect over time. Just wait until you do a major renovation in your house and you collect a whole bunch of stuff.

i will have to be careful with the collection of tools as my garage is too small. and we still have to leave room for two cars.

Looking at the Water Cooling Hardware you're using, what was the overall cost for them?

Honestly i did not keep track. That way it would not have hurt in the end.
