Hello forum! I’m having a problem with the overclock, if you can call it that, i’m trying to do to my RAM memories. Here are the specs:

    -AMD FX-6300
    -Asus Sabertooth 990FX
    -16GB RAM:

    • 2x4GB Kinston Hyper X Blue 1666Hz
    • 2x4GB Avexir Blitz Series 1666Hz

The Dual channel is done with the right pairs, Kingston with Kingston and Avexir with Avexir.

The problem is that the BIOS sets automatically the freq. of the RAM to 1333HZ, don’t know why, and if i try to move it to 1666Hz when i reboot the computer appears a message from the BIOs saying “Overclock failed!”, also sometimes i get blue screen. I don’t understand why this error happend, as the normal frequenzy of the RAM is 1666HZ and shouldn’t be any problem.

    Any clue?

    Have nice day!
