Nintendo are releasing this little gem:
The 30 games that come preloaded are all decent, there’s no filler in there at all. The Virtual Market value of the classic games is over $120 by itself. The package comes with one controller and extra controlelrs are $10 a piece, reportedly they’re very decent Nintendo build quality and they are compatible with the classic controller ports on the Wii.
Market price for the mini console and one controller is $60. This is going to sell like hot cakes. Cakes filled with retro goodness.
Games included (I’ve emboldened the super interesting ones to me):
- Balloon Fight
- Bubble Bobble
- Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
- Donkey Kong
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Double Dragon II: The Revenge
- Dr. Mario
- Final Fantasy
- Ghosts’n Goblins
- Ice Climber
- Kid Icarus
- Kirby’s Adventure
- Mario Bros.
- Mega Man 2
- Ninja Gaiden
- Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
- Super C
- Super Mario Bros.
- Super Mario Bros. 2
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Tecmo Bowl
- The Legend of Zelda
- Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
The only thing I’d change on this list is I’d have preferred to have seen Contra instead of Super C and that’s a very minor nitpick.
