LoL Tier List (League of Legends) (April, 2021)

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS TIER LIST

League of Legends (LoL) is a multiplayer online battle arena game developed by Riot Games. League of Legends was inspired by Defence of the Ancients (DOTA), a custom game developed within Warcraft 3 which was later released as a stand-alone game by Valve. LoL was released in 2009 and was a massive success. It became the world’s largest e-sport with an international competitive scene composed of 13 leagues. It’s annual world tournament in 2019 had over 100 million unique viewers, peaking at a concurrent viewership of 44 million. Riot Games has recently launched LoL for mobile in 2020 under the name League of Legends: Wild Rift.

The game is free to play. Riot Games business model for League of Legends revolves around generating revenue by selling character skins and other cosmetics which the players can use to customize their characters in game. Riot Games have also experimented with League of Legends cinematics, music and comics in an attempt to allow people to experience the game in a different manner and form a connection with it.

The gameplay revolves around two teams of five players each controlling half the map. Each player is required to choose a unique character for their team, known as a champion. Each champion has unique abilities and gameplay styles. During a match, players make their champions stronger by gathering experience points and gold to purchase different items. They then engage in battles with the opposing team across the map trying to breach the enemy’s base and reach their nexus, A large structure located in each teams base. The team which destroys the other team’s nexus first wins the game.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS TIER LIST
