Warframe Tier List

We are showcasing our Warframe Tier List in this article.

Warframe is a phenomenon. It’s one of the best and most popular loot shooters for both PC and consoles. The gameplay is very dynamic and fast paced and it offers the player a lot of combat options. Players are free to choose weapons ranging from katanas, quarterstaffs and bows and to assault rifles and sniper rifles.

Set in the future, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from a century-long cryosleep as they awake again on Earth. The Warframe is an advanced weapons system used exclusively by the Tenno in their missions. The Warframes possess regenerative shields, greatly enhanced mobility, and the use of an array of supernatural abilities – all of which further augment the Tenno’s deadly use of traditional combat arts. Warframes are divided into a collection of diverse models, each of which personifies a great warrior spirit. Each Warframe is moreover highly reconfigurable, meaning players can tailor their choice of Warframe to fit a multitude of playstyles. While certain Warframes excel in a particular situation, none are limited to a singular role and no role demands the use of a singular Warframe.

WARFRAME TIER LIST

There are currently 48 Warframes in the game as of me writing this article. Most frames are useful in one situation or another but some Warframes stand above the pack for their powerful abilities and utility across a wide variety of mission types. In this Warframe Tier List, we’ve classified these Warframes into four tiers, namely S/A/B/C tiers with S-Tier representing the best Warframes in the game and C-Tier representing the more average Warframe in the game. There is no Warframe yet that we would ask players to avoid completely as even C-Tier Warframes come handy in specific situations. Note that there is no specific ranking within each tier.

S-Tier

These Warframes are the best of the best. They feature incredible power levels for a variety of content and overall provide players easy access to high-level content in the game.

  • Saryn
  • Wisp
  • Mesa
  • Octavia
  • Voidrig
A-Tier

These Warframes are really good choices with a totally viable playstyle. They rank lower than the ones in S-Tier because they are very slightly out-performed by the S-Tier frames. Nonetheless, they are solid choices and completely viable for everything the game has to offer.

  • Nova
  • Sevagoth
  • Rhino
  • Volt
  • Khora
  • Nidus
  • Wukong
  • Trinity
  • Mirage (Check out how to obtain this warframe here!)
  • Gara
  • Protea
  • Baruuk
  • Gauss
  • Equinox
  • Nezha
  • Nekros
  • Lavos
  • Revenant
  • Chroma
  • Harrow
  • Ivara
  • Ember
  • Titania
  • Xaku
  • Oberon
  • Vauban
  • Limbo
  • Inaros
B-Tier

These Warframes are decent and totally useable for the most part but are a bit on the weaker side of things when compared with the frames in S-Tier and A-Tier. These frames are a bit more beginner-friendly but it’s harder to perform with them as you progress in the game. Although, some of these frames are very good options for specific tasks.

  • Excalibur
  • Mag
  • Hildryn
  • Ash
  • Valkyr
  • Frost
  • Loki
  • Bonewidow
  • Banshee
  • Garuda
  • Atlas
C-Tier

These frames are not the worst to play with but they’re certainly not the best either. They are on the weaker side of things compared to every other Warframe mentioned in the list till now but find their use in very niche situations or in very weird metas. Overall, its not something you should avoid completely but they’re definitely not the best choice for missions.

  • Grendel
  • Nyx
  • Zephyr
  • Hydroid

Conclusion

Warframe has cemented itself as one of the best free-to-play multiplayer games in the market. If you’re completely new to Warframe then you might look at it and assume it to be strictly a shooter but it’s only when you start playing it, that you understand the amount of variety it can offer.

Our Warframe Tier List should provide you with a good idea of which Warframes are good to play with but you can always simply pick the one that looks the coolest to you. No matter which one you choose you can make your way around the incredible alien landscape in style by leaping, sliding, and gliding around. It just feels really good to play, the fact that it is free is hard to wrap your head around. Not to mention that the graphics are top-notch as well. So in short, it plays well, looks good, is a lot of fun, and is free. What are you waiting for?
