Club 3D News 18 – NEW, NEW, NEW, Award
Let there be light! The redesigned Club 3D website is online and we move away from our ‘dark’ theme with a fresh look and feel and a new logo. We hope you like it! Visit: http://club-3d.com/.
After using the original Club 3D logo for 15 years we felt it’s time for a new logo. While it stays close to our original logo, the new one looks more dynamic and up to date. To change the Club 3D logo on your website, please contact us and we’ll send you the new logo in PNG or JPG format.
A few months ago we started to renew the retail boxes of our adapter and cable range. With the start of the USB Type-C products we shipped the first products in a new and environmental friendly recycled box. The redesign is now finished and we will replace the boxes of the already existing items when new shipments do come in. The new logo will be implemented to those boxes step by step as well. With the next newsletter we will present the new box design for the SenseVision products. If you cannot wait for that please feel free to visit our webpage.
Introducing the world´s first DP/Mini DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapters (CAC-1070/CAC-1170) for [email protected]
Hz in January, Club 3D did help a lot of users to solve the problem to bring 4K content from their PC or Notebook with VGA card only having HDMI 1.4 to their brandnew TV with HDMI input and ready for 4K. But the adapters were only the first step to have things HDMI 2.0 compatible. We did follow up on this to introduce our Premium High Speed HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz UHD cable with item code CAC-1310. Everyone can now have the best transmission from his outputs to his TV or any other 4K display with only Club 3D HDMI 2.0 adapters and cables in between. The HDMI has officially certified our CAC-1310 cable so boxes leaving our warehouse after April 4th are carrying the holographic certificate label.

Leading dutch tech site Hardware.info has reviewed the Club 3D HDMI 2.0 adapters CAC-1070, CAC-1170 and CAC-1504.
Here you can find their verdict (translated):
‘The Club 3D HDMI 2.0 adapters are finally a solution for gamers who want to connect their PC to an HDMI 2.0 enabled UHD TV but don’t have a GPU with HDMI 2.0 output yet. This will mostly concern AMD users, since their cards feature DisplayPort 1.2 for years but no HDMI 2.0 yet, even the reasonably new Fury GPU’s. Team Green users need to have a Maxwell card for native HDMI 2.0 support and at Intel only Skylake can handle it.
In our testing, with a variety of HDMI 2.0 TV’s and Monitors, the adapters proved to work great. And that’s about all you can expect from these adapters: converting a DisplayPort signal to the latest HDMI standard works flawless. In our testing we didn’t measure any input lag caused by the adapters. The prices, ranging between 30 and 40 Euros, are reasonable in our opinion.
If your GPU has DisplayPort 1.2 but lacks HDMI 2.0, these adapters are the solution you need. Since Club 3D is the first to offer these we give them our Innovation Award‘.
