CoolIT Systems Optimizes Trade and Match Solution with Custom Closed-Loop Liquid Cooling
Solution on display at Supercomputing Conference 2016 in Salt Lake City
Calgary. November 14, 2016 – CoolIT Systems, Inc. (CoolIT), the world leader in energy efficient liquid cooling solutions for the HPC, Cloud and Enterprise markets, has been selected to manufacture a Closed-Loop DCLC™ liquid cooling device for the latest Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Apollo 2000 Trade and Match Server Solution. This overclocked HPE server benefits immensely from the installed CoolIT liquid system by enabling greater CPU performance for the Financial Services industry, where computing milliseconds are essential.
Specifically designed for HPE’s Apollo 2000 System, CoolIT’s custom-built cooling solution facilitates +18% overclocking speedup. Anchored by CoolIT’s industry leading E3 active coldplate assembly and patented Split-Flow design, the Closed-Loop DCLC device is integrated into each of the four 1U HPE ProLiant XL170r Gen 9 Servers within the Apollo 2000 System. By employing a custom 1U radiator, each individual server remains hot swappable for easy servicing. No facility liquid is required.
“The HPE Apollo 2000 Trade and Match Server Solution is all about speed and we manufacture the system that enables performance to capitalize on high frequency trading trends,” said Geoff Lyon, CEO & CTO at CoolIT Systems.
“The performance of high frequency trading solutions is critical to the success and competitiveness of financial institutions,” said Scott Misage, Vice President, HPC Solutions and Apollo Pursuits, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “We are pleased to see CoolIT innovate on HPE’s High Performance Trade and Match Solution with their Closed-Loop Liquid Cooling. The combination of their liquid cooling technology with the reliable and established HPE design extends our performance leadership, delivering greater value and choice to our customers.”
A sample of the liquid cooled system will be showcased on CoolIT Systems booth (#1843) at the Supercomputing 2016 (SC16) event in Salt Lake City from November 14 – 17.
The new liquid cooled HPE Apollo 2000 System is designed for Financial Services Applications, including High Frequency Trading, Simulations, Modeling and Deep Learning.
