We all knew it was coming, but the Force has awakened over at TT Games. Plans for TT’s upcoming title LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been leaked, leading to the developer giving the green light for the game to be officially revealed. As with past installments of the LEGO Star Wars franchise, The Force Awakens will be available on all major platforms. Finn, Rey, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, and even Han Solo have stepped into the LEGO world for their latest adventure this summer.
Who’s ready for some more turn-based combat in a dungeon crawling adventure? No, no, we’re not talking about a new Shin Megami Tensei title, even though IV Final is due out in Japan next week. Instead, we’re talking about a series called 7th Dragon. The latest entry, 7th Dragon III Code: VFD, launched in Japan last October and saw Sega topping the sales charts. The title’s success in Japan has given Sega confidence enough to try bringing the series to the west. The same dungeon crawling RPG that topped Media Create’s sales charts in Japan for a week last year is coming to North America this summer.
Hyrule Warriors Legends is set to launch for the Nintendo 3DS on March 25, just under two months away. To get gamers pumped for some Hyrule hack-‘n’-slash gameplay, Koei Tecmo has released a short teaser trailer showcasing all of the new characters, including Linkle and the cast of Wind Waker, that will fight their way through moblins and more.
It’s that time of year where everyone’s starting to announce their plans for E3. Last week, EA announced they’d host their own separate event rather than hold their press briefing during E3. The next company on the list was none other than Bethesda. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has another showdown beween gaming companies on its hands. Back in 2014, the USPTO dealt with Candy Crush developer King.com filing a notice of opposition against The Banner Saga. More recently, the office was involved in settling a trademark dispute over Blizzard’s upcoming shooter Overwatch. The latest pair of gaming companies to step into the USPTO’s notice of opposition arena are none other than EA and Ubisoft.
