Biostar N3150NH Motherboard With Integrated Intel N3150 CPU Review

A Closer Look

The most noticeable feature of the Biostar N3150NH is the integrated CPU. The Intel N3150 CPU is from the recently released Braswell family, the little brother to the desktop Broadwell family. A single fan-less silver heatsink on the CPU does all the needed cooling.

A quick walk around the motherboard shows there is certainly no shortage of connectors. We will get to those in detail later.

There is a surprising number of connector on the N3150NH. There are two SATA 6GB/s, two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 header. A PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot (lower left) allows for expansion. There is also a Serial/Comm header.

The rear I/O also has quite a few ports. There a two USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0 ports. PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports allows for legacy input device connectivity. The one RJ-45 port is driven by a Realtek RTL8111H chip. 3 audio jacks provide options for audio connections. There is also dual monitor connectivity via VGA and HDMI ports.

Biostar has included the standard rear I/O and 2 SATA cables.

Also included is a manual and driver disc.

System Configuration, BIOS, and Software are up next.
