Building A Silent PC – Sponsored by Antec

A Closer Look – P100 Chassis

The Antec P100 is a sleek full-tower case designed for silence.

The front of the P100 has a door that opens fully and features noise-dampening foam. There are two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports on the top next to the audio and power buttons. There is a mesh filter that covers two mounting areas for eitehr 120mm or 140mm fans. Included is a single 120mm fan. This fan features a built-in high/low speed switch.

The top panel has room for one or two 120mm or 140mm fans (or radiators) and comes with plastic block-off panels pre-installed with sound-dampening foam on the under sides to help dampen the noise.

The inside of the P100 is pretty typical – 7 expansion slots and a pre-mounted 120mm exhaust fan. As with the front intake fan this fan has a high/low switch built-in.

The insides of both side panels on the P100 are lined with a foam sound-deadening material.

And lastly the drive trays on the P100 support both 2.5″ and 3.5 drives and have built-in vibration dampers for all 3.5″ drives.

Let’s check out the EDGE 650W PSU and the Kuhler 950 AiO now.
