Cooler Master MM720 Gaming Mouse Review

Introducing the Cooler Master MM 720 Gaming Mouse

As an avid gamer, I’m always looking for gear that will give me the edge in the various games I play, ranging from first-person shooters to old school click RPGs (OldSchool Runescape). My usual go-to peripherals have come from Corsair, so getting the opportunity to check out Cooler Master’s MM720 mouse is a real treat. I have to admit, at first glance, I was a bit concerned about the shape of the mouse. After spending a month or two using it almost-daily, I’ve come to really enjoy the ergonomics. But enough with the teaser, let’s dive in.

Cooler Master bills the MM720 as a “lightweight take on a legendary, fan-favorite.” When they say lightweight, Cooler Master is not joking. Weighing in at a paltry 49 grams (about a tenth of a pound), you barely know that you’re holding something. It’s about the same weight as the pen I have sitting on my desk, an incredible feat considering the technology packed inside. Not only does the MM720 feature RGB–basically a requirement for gaming peripherals–it features a PixArt PMW3389 sensor with DPI levels ranging from 400 all the way up to 16,000. Incredibly, Cooler Master has also packed in a 32 bit ARM Cortex processor.
