Coolermaster ATCS 840 Aluminum Tower

overviewThe success of the HAF932 was not a surprise to many of us as it offered a lot room, a rugged good looks and enough fans and cooling to keep everything in the case in good cool and solid running fashion. Coolermaster building on the success of the HAF932 decided to take the functions and features of the HAF and employ them in a new ATCS unit. The ATCS 840 will issue in a new class of ATCS (Active Thermal Convention System, yeah I know I should have mentioned it earlier) with its abundance of room, huge fans, easy assembly and clean looks. If you are a person that like refined cases this new case may be your next one.

large overview

Introduction

When it comes down to Coolermaster cases there are two different classes as far as I am concerned….oh excuses me I forgot the new Storm series, so three classes. The first is the one I mistakenly forgot just a second ago, which is the Storm series. The new Storm line consist of just one case for now. That one case is the Sniper which we reviewed just a month ago or so. The Sniper is the gamer’s case. A large behemoth that can house as much as you can throw into it. It was wide provided a lot of cooling and was different looking for anything else out there.

Then there are the Coolermaster instant classics like the Cosmos, Stacker, CM 690 and many others. These are the classes that we all know Coolermaster for. A conservation about Coolermaster can go on without any of these cases being mentioned. I think in my time I have owned atleast five these classics. These towers are known for several of their unique characteristics like their modding aspects, ease to water-cooling and the superior cooling.

My favorite of Coolermaster’s great cases has to be any unit that has ATCS in the title. These are the sleek classic lines that says modern and style. Being a little bit more expensive than any other Coolermaster cases, the towers under this class offered you all the features of the models above by with a style that rivals just a few case manufacturers. I would be able to describe one of this case with a few words: all aluminum, clean lines and sleek. It has been awhile since the last time I have had a chance to play with one until now.
