Final Thoughts & Conclusion
Going into this review, I asked a question: “Can headphones be both affordable and sound great?” and the answer to this is a resounding yes. Corsair’s HS35 is not only very budget friendly at an MSRP of $39.99, but they also sounded great in gaming and listening to music.
During my match of CS: GO, I was able to communicate with my team flawlessly with the HS35’s microphone and was easily able to relay the enemy’s positions. The 50mm audio drivers excelled in both tests as I was able to track the enemy’s footsteps in CS: GO and well listening to Incubus the sound crystal clear with great bass.
Even in a long session of gaming/music at no point did the HS35’s become uncomfortable. I found both the padding on the headband and earcup quite soft and that coupled with the HS35’s weight of 250 grams, at times I forgot I was wearing a headset. The only minor issue that I ran into with the HS35 was I did find the headband was a little stiff when trying to get over my ears.
Overall, I was really impressed with the quality of sound that came from the budget headset and would recommend anyone looking for a cheaper set if cans to check out Corsair’s HS35.
