System Configuration & Installation
The test system we are using is:
- Cooler Master H500
- ASRock Z370 Tachi Motherboard
- Intel 8700K Processor Overclocked to 4.6GHz
- 4 x 4GB Team Group T-Force Delta RGB Ram
- MSI X-Gaming RX480 8GB GPU
- EVGA 750W P2 PSU
As the GAMMAXX GT advertises, it was extremely to install and had no issues following the included instructions. It was nice of them to include an RGB connector and extension cable which came in handy to attaching to the H500’s RGB controller.
Since I don’t have low profile memory I was worried I’d either have to adjust the fan height or even remove some of my RAM to give enough space for the cooler and fan. I was pleasantly surprised when I had just enough clearance from the edge of the fan and my RAM sticks.
Once installed, I booted up my system and the GAMMXX GT’s RGB matched the currently configured Blue. When cycling through the other RGB modes it also followed suit including all RGB effects. The RGB on the unit itself is very tastefully done with the lighting showing through the cutout on the top and around the edges of the top cover. The fan is also lit with the light diffusing from the center which has a nice effect on the fan blades.
