E-Win Calling Series Chair Review – The Best Chair I’ve Ever Used

If you’re like me, you don’t think much about the office gaming chair you sit in at the computer desk. All of that changed when E-Win reached out and asked us to review one of their chairs. I’ll be straight to the point. With the exception of a reclining living room type of chair, this is the best chair I’ve ever used.

E-Win Calling series

Assembly

The chair will arrive with some assembly required. That said, it couldn’t be easier. E-Win provides everything you need to assemble the chair in the packaging. Four screws attach the seat base to the seat mechanism. The gas lift fits easily between the seat mechanism and the base, and the back is attached with two allen head screws on each side. The only thing I found even minor difficulty with was popping the wheels into the five star base.

Premium quality materials

The E-Win Calling Series features E-Win’s Stain Resistant 2.0 PU Leather:

“With the First Stain Resistant E-WIN 2.0 PU Leather. It can be cleaned repeatedly without surface damage by using a clean cloth. Also it surpasses industry performance standards for strength abrasion, hydrolysis, and UV stability, while retaining the looks and feels most like real leather that made it so popular.”

I haven’t spilled anything on the chair as of this writing, but it’s assuring to know that the leather is easily cleaned should an accident happen. My computer desk sits very near the back entrance to my home and gets a lot of natural light. Knowing the leather is UV stable gives me peace of mind that the chair won’t be suffering from fading any time soon.

E-Win’s Cold-Cure Foam:

“E-WIN Prime interior high-density foam puts it well above the standard High Resiliency foam. Engineered to be 2 times heavier than regular foam per cubit foot, inching it near the realm of memory foam. The elasticity of the foam helps prolong the comfort life of the chair and adds to the overall durability of the product.”

Over the last month, I’ve probably logged over 100 hours sitting at the computer. My kids have easily logged even more than that with gaming and school sessions. The seat base and back have been very comfortable. I don’t find myself getting fatigued as easily as I have with other chairs I’ve used in the past.

Lumbar and neck support

This is probably my favorite feature of the chair. The Calling Series chair from E-Win comes with lumbar and head/neck support pillows. Made of the same stain resistant leather and cold-cure foam, these are easily my favorite features of the chair. I served in the United States Marine Corps from 1994-2000. Back issues later in life are just one of the things your recruiter fails to mention when you sign that contract. I found that with the lumbar support pillow, I’m sitting straighter than I did before, and back strain has been greatly reduced. My wife suffers from scoliosis. She prefers to stand as much as possible, but she’s even found that using this chair while editing photos has been very comfortable as well.

Adjustability

With any good chair, it needs to be adjustable. The Calling Series chair is fully adjustable. The gas lift isn’t so stiff that it feels like you need an extra person to reduce the height of the chair, and it doesn’t shoot up to hit you increase the height. The arm rests are very comfortable also. The ability to adjust the width of the arm rests would have been a nice addition, but it’s not something I’d really complain about. The arm rests are somewhat cupped in the middle. It’s very nice not feeling like your arms will slip off at any time.

If you like to recline in your seat, you’ll enjoy how far back the E-Win chair reclines. The back is adjustable from 85 degrees to 155 degrees. No matter who you are, you’ll find this chair will adjust to you. After I first assembled the chair, I decided to recline all the way back. Prepare yourself for this. It will feel like you’re going to recline back and topple over. Thankfully, the chair held and though I felt a little off balance, it was totally stable.

Quality Wheels

“The Calling Series comes with PU coating casters that are engineered for quieter operation and greater resistance to foreign objects and debris, rolling effortlessly on all types of flooring while preventing damage to the surface beneath”

E-Win has engineered some very nice wheels for their Calling Series gaming chairs. As I mentioned before, with my computer desk being near the back door of my house, it’s a high traffic area. Pet hair, snow in the winter, and mud all seem to accumulate easily. I do use a chair mat, and found that the wheels roll easily with or without it installed.

Wrap It Up

I wasn’t sure what to expect when E-Win reached out to us for an EwinRacing gaming chair review. Obviously, I checked out their web site first, and the chairs they offer looked very nice on the screen. Honestly, I wasn’t ready for what arrived. Easily assembled, quality leather and foam, head/neck and lumbar support pillows, I was pleasantly surprised with what they sent. I’ve even considered reclining the seat back and taking a quick nap once or twice (I haven’t yet though). It’s for all of these reasons, I’m awarding this chair as highly recommended.  If you’re considering a new chair for your gaming area, don’t buy something without checking out the Calling Series from E-Win.
