Introduction to the Eagletech ET-CSMDSU2-BK Dual Bay SATA to USB Enclosure
If you looking to save money on your computer speakers, hard drive enclosures and other peripherals for your PC then look no farther than Eagletech. Eagletech’s goal is to provide consumer with the best bang for the buck components while providing very good quality. We have seen this in quite a few devices here on Pro-Clockers in the recent months. We had the chance to review another enclosure in the Eagletech JBOD External Storage Enclosure and some really nice speakers I am still using on my daily rig, Eagletech Arion 2.1 Soundstage Speakers with Subwoofer.
Today, we get the chance to examine their latest hard drive in the Eagletech ET-CSMDSU2-BK. The new enclosure works pretty much the same as the JBOD enclosure in the earlier part of this introduction but sports a better and more functional design. But what we like most about it is that it is completely tool-less. No needs for tools or long assembly processes. Just insert your two drives of any size but needs to be SATA and connect it to any open USB 2.0 port. Done and finish. Time to take a closer look at the new JBOD enclosure from Eagletech.
Eagletech has this to say about the ET-CSMDSU2-BK Dual Bay SATA to USB Enclosure
Traditional dual bay enclosures provide limited functionality such as JBOD, 2 TB barriers and without dual drive access. This unique enclosure provides simultaneous access to two different hard drives. Experienced DIY users can setup Windows dynamic disks that support simple volumes, striped (RAID 0) and mirrored (RAID 1) volumes, up to a total capacity of 4 TB. When not using software based RAID, its dual channel controller provides independent access to two drives.
