Overclocking and Temperatures
The i7 7700K installed on the Z270X Gaming 5.
All overclocked benchmarks were run at 5.0 GHz.
I was able to get this CPU as high as 5.1 GHz.
At its stock clock of 4.2 GHz base and 4.5 GHz boost, the 7700K idles at about 26°C and hit a max temp 48°C.
Overclocked to 5.0 GHz, the max temp was 70°C under load and idles at about 31°C.

With a simple click of a button, Easy Tune with automatically stress test your CPU and get it to what it feels is the highest, most stable overclock. Programs like this can be very helpful, especially to those who are new to overclocking. However, any enthusiast will tell you, the best way to overclock is in the Bios. The Easy Tune software auto overclocked my 7700K 7% to only 4.8 GHz. When I overclocked the old fashion way in the BIOS, I achieved a max overclock if 5.15 GHz.
