Gigabyte Aorus Z270X-Gaming 8 Motherboard Review

Packaging and Unboxing

The Aorus logo dominates the front flap of the Z270X-Gaming 8 box.

The rear of the box, featuring detailed pictures and showcasing many of the more unique features.

Once the front box flap is opened the motherboard can be seen through a window. A colored picture of the Z270X-Gaming 8 highlights the RGB lighting on the backside of the front flap.

The motherboard is located in a handled cardboard bow/tray inside the outer box.

With the cardboard motherboard tray removed, the included accessories are revealed. The dividers keep everything well organized.

In the lower tray we find another box. Inside that box is the first of many accessories.

First up is the User’s Manual, driver/utility disk, and Aorus case badge, and Gigabyte Q-Connector.

Next we find two thermistor cables and two Velcro cable ties.

There’s also a Multilingual Installation Guide, cable labels, SLI bridge, and a Wi-Fi antenna retention cover.

Two RGB (RGBW) LED strip extension cables and the Wi-Fi antenna.

Rounding out the included accessories are an Aorus Do Not Disturb sign, rear I/O shield, a pack of back I/O dust covers, and four SATA cables.
