Packaging and Content

Both the coolers are in an identical packaging.

Inside the SE 204K’s packaging, you will find the cooler, a single 120mm fan, mounting accessories and a tube of thermal paste.

The SE 214X also have the same bundled accessories. The only difference is the mounting accessories wherein this one uses a different locking mechanism.

Closer Look (SE 204K)

Let us first take a closer look at the SE 204K. It is a single tower cooler with 4 heatpipes. The top has a dark nickel finish which gives it a nice and unique look.

The fins are also thick and sure doesn’t look like some cheap entry-level cooler. The heatpipes are oriented away from the memory slots to avoid blocking the memory slots.

Here’s a look at the base of the cooler. The base has a copper plating wherein it would get in contact with the processor.

Here’s a look at the SE 204K with a single fan. Note that the packaging only includes one 120mm fan but it does include an extra set of fan wire clips for you to add another 120mm fan.

Here’s how the cooler looks like with two 120mm fan.

Closer Look (SE 214X)

Now let’s take a closer look at the SE 214X18

It does have a similar layout like the SE 204K but with only aluminum fins and copper heatpipes without the dark nickel plating.

The top shows the 9 heatpipes with one in the middle.

The base is also different wherein the copper heatpipes will have a direct contact to the processor or heat source.

Now let’s move on to the installation of these coolers on the next page.
