Lexar NM610 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe 500GB SSD Review

Final Thoughts on the NM610 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe 500GB SSD

If you’re like me and looking to add storage to your system, Lexar’s NM610 Gen 3×4 NVMe PCIe m.2 SSD checks all of the boxes for what I’m looking for. Retailing for less than $85 (at time of publication) the NM610 adds a lot of storage for photos and videos for under a c-note, and is fast enough to keep editing programs fed at an acceptable rate.

As far as gaming goes, this drive will perform adequately for most gamers needs who are looking to build a powerful gaming rig without breaking their budget. Is it blazingly fast? No. Will it run most games without issue? Yes. Add two of these in a RAID-0 configuration, and you will have a lot of very fast storage for minimal investment. I would also recommend this drive for anyone looking to upgrade their laptop’s storage as long as it has a compatible M.2 PCIe slot.

Overall, the Lexar NM610 500GB performed above, and beyond our expectations here at ProClockers, and for that reason, we highly recommend it to our readers.
