Final Thoughts and Conclusion
Overall the NoiseHush i7 Aviator and i9BT Wireless headsets are great. The sound quality is outstanding and the active noise cancelling is nothing short of amazing. I like the idea of the Li-Ion battery pack in the i9BT, however if the battery dies you need to recharge it before you can use the ANC feature instead of just replacing the batteries in the i7 model. The extra features of the i9BT (braided cord, built-in microphone, Bluetooth connectivity with voice calling and play/pause/FF/RW features) are a nice add-on.
Both headsets performed and sounded wonderful with the ANC turned on. However there was a slight hum out of both with ANC on that was only noticeable when no sound was coming from the speakers. With any kind of sound coming out the hum wasn’t noticed at all. One major thing was that with ANC turned off it seemed the treble was turned down to -10. The audio sounded muffled and incomplete. With ANC turned back on though the treble was restored and the audio quality went back to sounding amazing. So while you can indeed use the headsets with ANC off or the the batteries dead or drained you won’t get the same level of audio quality.
The NoiseHush i7 Aviator retails for $99.99 and the i9BT Wireless headset retails for $149.99. However at the time of this writing you can find them both over at Amazon.com for just $56.95 and $114.95, respectively with free shipping. I feel both the i7 Aviator and i9BT Wireless headsets deserve our highly recommended award for their fit, finish and superb audio quality.
