I visit of forums and very often I take a quick look into the Case Mod threads. And if you take a look at some of the images you will see that the power supply is often covered to make the inside of the case look better or painted to better match the colors used in the build. That is great and all but if you want to eliminate having to do either of these steps pick up a NZXT HALE90 V2 power supply.
The exterior of the HALE90 V2 is great. The white coating with little black accents will make it the ideal choice for many of these builds. Imagine it in one of NZXT all white cases like the Switch 810 or any of the Phantom models. Your imagination would be the bottleneck in an all-out build.
The HALE90 V2 is more than just a pretty face in the middle of a bunch of ugly ones. It is definitely a performer as well. With the series consisting of three high wattage models: 850W, 1000W and 1200W, you have more than enough stable power at your deposal for any multi-GPU setup. We tested the unit in our standard test bench to keep test consistent with other reviews but we did throw the unit in a triple Radeon we had on load and the unit passed flying colors.
NZXT is giving us their all when it comes to the product they bring to market. I mean the cases, fans, cooler and power supplies are all great. NZXT provide individual sleeved cable extensions to use with any power supply but it would be nice to see replacement cable kits for these new power supplies. An all-white kit or white and black kit would be awesome.
There are several other features we can talk about in this conclusion but we would be here all day. But we have to mention a few upfront like the quiet operation with a system load, single 12v rail, good cable length and enough cable connectors to support the rig of your dreams. All these adds to the joy of owning this unit.
