The KamaConnect Plus comes in a box that displays a lot of information in various different languages. Inside the box is of course the KamaConnect Plus, power adapter, USB 2.0 cable and converter cables.
The KamaConnect is made of a hard plastic shell that is all black in color. It is small enough to carry in your pocket and not a bad idea if you are planning on using it from laptop and solid state drives. If that is not the case you will have to carry the three pound power adapter with you. The unit measures 62x101x30mm or 2.44×3.98×1.18 inches.
As you can see the unit is not only an IDE/SATA HDD to USB adapter but can serve as a digital card reader for many of the current types. Many of the cards the unit can read from need adapters usually sold with the media itself. The KamaConnect Plus also have a two port USB hub built in.
If you are in the IT field you would love to know that the KamaConnect Plus can support an IDE and a SATA drive at the same time. Important when needing to backup data to a new drive. The unit supports all forms of IDE and SATA drives in the form of 2.5″ 3.5″ upto two terabytes and 5.25″ which would include optical drives.
The top of the unit has a small toggle switch that will turn the unit off and on.
Here we have a couple of drives connected to the KamaConnect Plus.
