Silverstone Decathlon DA850 850 Watt Power Supply

overviewToday I’m reviewing the Silverstone. I respect Silverstone. Their products are attractive and perform well, but I’m not going to take it easy on the DA850. For this PSU to garner a good review from me, it will have to stay stable while providing power to all my hardware.

Introduction

Enthusiasts love building mammoth PC’s running the meanest, most power-hungry hardware money can buy. As top of the line these days means quad core with dual channel, dual graphics cards, multiple hard drives and killer USB devices. Using an inferior PSU is kind of like running a sports car on a AAA battery.It aint gonna work. To that end, most enthusiasts pursue the white stag of Power supplies, one that has the right blend of power, stability and available connectors.
 
 Today I’m reviewing the Silverstone. I respect Silverstone. Their products are attractive and perform well, but I’m not going to take it easy on the DA850. For this PSU to garner a good review from me, it will have to stay stable while providing power to all my hardware.
