Thermaltake Urban T81 Full Tower Chassis Review

Closer Look Continued

At the very bottom of the rear panel and under the PSU bay we find a removable fan filter which stops dust and pet hairs from entering your system.Easy removal of the filter makes cleaning a breeze. We appreciate that Thermaltake took the time to make sure the filter is hidden until it’s time to be removed.

Moving on to the right side of the Thermaltake Urban T81 we noticed that Thermaltake added a perfect size window for viewing your systems hardware, leaving the HDD cages completely out of site and behind the right suicide door.

Here’s a couple of close ups showing the locking mechanism on the front windowed side panel, also a photo showing you where the button is hidden on the bottom section, you need to press the button to release the side panel door.

There’s nothing special about the right side panel on the Urban T81 and to be honest it’s a little plain looking but almost every case manufactured has the same problem. However there’s a lot of real-estate on the right panel that would be perfect for adding some custom art work of your choice.

The bottom of the TT Urban T81 has four rubber feet that do an excellent job at holding the chassis in place, even when we placed the T81 on glass, it did not slide at all. We even took it one step further and spilled a cup of water on a glass table, making sure it flowed under and around the chassis, and it stayed securely in place even when pushed.

Let’s move on to the T81’s interiors on the next page.
