3. JBL Flip 5 Review
+ Pros: Great bass and acoustics, PartyBoost stereo pairing, great design, comes in different colors
– Cons: no microphone or aux-in, not Connect+ compatible
JBL Flip 5 has little extra features, but the great sound quality for its size and price. At under $100, this Bluetooth (4.2) speaker needs only 2.5 hours to fully charge and will last through 12 hours of play.
Flip 5 is waterproof and easy to carry around. The sound is great, and the only downsides to this speaker are that it lacks the analogue aux-in port and the microphone.
You can use the JBL Connect app to connect two Flip 5 speakers for a stereo mode or link up to 100 PartyBoost-compatible speakers in mono.
The JBL Flip 5 is worth your money if you’re looking for an affordable speaker that offers great sounds wherever you go.

Conclusion: This JBL Flip 5 is a great speaker and is a strong contender for the #2 ranking on this list. It is the most beautifully designed speaker on this list, and has a really fun bass feature, where the sides of the speaker visibly move with the music. The sound quality is also excellent, with superior treble to #2 but slightly inferior bass to #2. That, however, is a matter of preference. The reason it is knocked down to #3 is because #2 is simply a much better price.
