Testing – USB 3.0
Our testing hardware and software remained unchanged from the USB 2.0 testing with the exception of plugging the drive into one of the motherboard’s rear USB 3.0 ports.
You can see that when the ESD400 is plugged into a USB 3.0 port the performance increase is HUGE. Is every single test the drive even performed well over its 410MB/s rating, topping out at 443MB/s in ATTO and almost 428MB/s in Crystal DiskMark.
