Final Thoughts & Conclusion
Viper’s VPR100 RGB M.2 drive adds not only a splash of color to your build but a serious bit of performance as well. Syncing RGB with your system can come at a cost in synthetic benchmarks that rely on high queue depth sequential results, but you won’t really see a performance hit in the real world. What you WILL see is a great looking drive and potentially up to 2TB of high-speed storage in your system. For a high-performance drive that nearly maxes out the PCIe 3.0 x4 link, it doesn’t really produce that much heat. The integrated heatsink performs as well as it looks, even with next to no airflow.
Great job Viper!
