Flash cards are commonly used today in many different devices such as smartphones, digital cameras, video cameras, media players and so on. Accessing the data stored in these flash cards are done with the help of card readers. Some are built-in into laptops or use an external card reader for that matter. Today, we will look at an external card reader from Kingston Technology, the Kingston USB 3.0 High-Speed Media Reader. Kingston provided a 32GB Class 10 UHS-I SDHC/SDXC SD card to test the media reader. We will also be using the Kingston 16GB microSDHC/SDXC Card — Class 10 UHS-Imicro SD we reviewed before.
