Installation & Software
After consulting the configuration sheet, we selected the needed segments from the 8 strips included.
We went ahead and pre-emptively laid them and connected them per the instructions.
After holding them up and getting a game plan to deal with the angled back on the monitor, we peeled the protective cover off the strips and stuck them in place. We did use the included wet and dry cleaning wipes to thoroughly clean the application area to make sure we had no dust or fingerprints that could keep the strips from sticking properly.
The angled corners of our ASUS monitor kept us from sticking the 90-degree connectors down, but this won't be a problem.
We also had to get very close to the bottom of the monitor to run the bottom strip just under the control buttons on the monitor, we caught this potential trip a few steps ago with our dry fit.
After this, we connect the two cables to the controller and mount it on the only flat area on the back of the monitor. We wish NZXT would give you another 2-3” of cable length for these two cables to deal with awkward monitors like this.
All that’s left is to connect the USB and power cables, and try it out!
