Software & Setup
CAM is a free PC monitoring software created by NZXT for PC enthusiasts and gamers. In years past, users needed multiple apps to keep track of key components' temperatures, overclock GPUs, and display FPS in game. CAM has now consolidated all those functions into one easy-to-use utility for beginners and advanced users alike.
NZXT’s CAM ecosystem really hasn’t changed much, if you already have experience with it, then you’ll find this quite familiar. To set up the Ambient kit, select the lighting tab, go to the SMART section, and select ‘Ambient’.
The first time you do this, it will ask you what monitor size you have. If you ever need to change this, you can hit setup again from the main menu.
At this point, all the strips should light up red to verify connectivity.
Once you hit next, the strips will go out, and one single segment will light up.
Since we would normally be looking at the front of the monitor, we would select the rightmost short edge here.
That segment will turn green, and the next one in that chain will turn red.
Once you get to the end of that segment, the first segment in the next strip will light up red, simply continue on as you did previously.
Once you hit the end, that’s all she wrote, there is nothing more to do but enjoy!
