A Closer Look
Looking at the Cryorig A40 Ultimate we see they have spent some time making minor changes like running braided tubing, 37.5mm wide radiator and still mounting a small fan on top the CPU waterblock/pump.
The QF120mm Performance fans capable of jamming out 83CFM at 37dBA or less (Min 13dBA) and can run from 600RPM to 2200RPM.
The 37.5mm radiator is 12.5mm wider than a normal 25mm model providing that extra overhead to get teh most out of your CPU.
The 70mm fan can push 25CFM at a maximum noise level of 27dBA and also pushes air across the chokes in the vital CPU area. Cooler CPU, cooler chokes, cooler capacitors all equal cleaner power making OCing easier and potentially reach a higher freq.
The waterblock is quite substantial and includes the plugin for the 70mm fan, the curve seen on the hold downs helps to strengthen the hold downs and shows an attention to detail. Notice the nicely braided tubing an upgrade from other models.
Facing the side of the Cryorig you see the logo on the side nicely imprinted and you get an idea of the rounded hold downs. Stamped flat hold downs just don't offer the strength.
The Cryorig kit doesn't contain 30 wires like a lot of AIO kits and connections and ease of install make this kit a snap to get in and wire tight.
We saved the block for last because we put a lot of stock in a well made polished block and on the Cryorig you get a highly polished brass contact plate with very tiny mill marks that we wouldn't even consider lapping.
From this angle, you can see the polished block and the pre-applied TIM and we tested with the TIM both with the provided TIM and with a high end ceramique product and thermal readings didn't change so feel free to use the pre-applied TIM.
