I’ve said it many times in the past. A gamer is as only as good as his hardware, and that includes much more than just a good CPU and GPU. Peripherals are just as, if not more important that many other components in a system. Sure you can play any FPS, MMO, or RTS with any keyboard, but I can guarantee that your opponent with a purpose-built mechanical gaming keyboard will have a definitive advantage over you if you are using a cheap $10 Dell membrane keyboard. Mechanical keyboards have been around since the first PC was built, and over the years, they have evolved into input machines that are far more advanced and efficient to their heavy, yellowing ancestors.
Earlier this year, Patriot Memory released a new line of gaming peripherals that aligns with its Viper series of high-performance memory. In the past I have reviewed the Viper V560 Laser Gaming Mouse , as well as their Viper V360 7.1 Virtual Surround Headset, and now I get to complete the set by taking a closer look at the Viper V760 Gaming Mechanical Keyboard. This will be my first RGB mechanical keyboard review, and I am pretty excited about that, but before we get started, lets take a look at what Patriot has to say about this colorful keyboard.
