Final Thoughts & Conclusion
Cooler Master has done it again and created another amazing keyboard. The SK621 includes many of the great SK features like their low-profile design, brushed aluminum top, and Cherry MX low-profile red switches. To set the SK621 apart from the other SK keyboards it brings a smaller footprint and added wireless connectivity.
Personally, moving to a 60% keyboard design was painless as I rarely use the 12 dedicated function keys. Another added plus to the 60% design is that it was perfect for my current workspace. Since I run 3 monitors, the smaller footprint gave me some much-needed space for my mousepad. The low-profile key was also not an issue as I’m currently using Cooler Master’s SK630 as my daily driver. If you are moving from a regular sized keyboard expect it to take a few days before you are fully used to the new keycaps.
The wireless option of the SK621 is a very nice feature for people that don’t like pesky wires and its awesome for connecting to mobile and tablets that usually have Bluetooth built in. My only minor complaint with the SK621 is that it doesn’t include a USB dongle so it will need to purchased separately if your PC doesn’t already have Bluetooth capabilities.
So, if you’re looking for a low-profile keyboard with a minimal footprint with the added bonus of being wireless, be sure to check out Cooler Master’s SK621.
