Final Thoughts and Conclusion

The Ballistix Tactical has a relatively subdued military look to them. Though they do look more aggressive than the Ballistix Sport LT, they’re not quite as aggressive looking at the Ballistix Elite. The dark grey brushed aluminum heatspreaders should match a wide variety of motherboards. The Asus Z270 TUF Mark 1 comes to mind. At 38mm tall, the modules are not overly tall and should clear most aftermarket air coolers.

The performance of the Ballistix Tactical is about average at the stock clock and timings. Overclocking isn’t particularly staggering though. However, the slight change in speeds and timings we made created a nice performance bump that allowed it to outrun some of the 3200MHz kits we’ve tested.

At the time of testing, I was able to find this particular kit for $359.99 at Newegg and cheaper at Amazon for $290.99 as of this writing. This price is an excellent price for DDR4 of any caliber and makes the Ballistix Tactical definitely worth a look for anyone shopping for DDR4. Like all of Ballistix's memory, they feature a lifetime warranty.
