A Closer Look
After pulling the EVO X II’s out of the box, we were quite surprised at how tall the memory modules were as they are probably one of the tallest modules that we have reviewed. The EVO X II showcases a large gunmetal aluminum heatsink and covers the module in its entirety. On the left side of the module, we have an RGB backlit “EVO X” branding and at the top: an RGB lighting bar.
Flipping the module over, we see that our review sample is the 3600MHz version of the EVO X II’s with CL 18-20-20-40 timings. To the right, we see a Ryzen badge showing us that they are compatible with AMD Ryzen processors.
Looking to the top, the RGB light bar extends the length of the module with a few places that are covered by the heatsink on either side.
Once the EVO X II’s were plugged into our testbench, we really loved how vivid and bright the RGB elements were.
