Final Thoughts & Conclusion
From looks to performance the EVO X II’s has both in spades. I really liked the EVO X II’s vivid RGB elements and it easily topped many of our benchmark graphs. Whether you are running an AMD or Intel system the EVO X II’s had no problem performing on either system despite being branded as “AMD Edition”.
Though if you are running an Intel system, we will be stuck at 3600MHz, as we were unable to get the kit to post past that. On our AMD testbench, it was a different story as I was about to push the kit to 3933MHz on stock voltage. For our final clock, we pulled back our original overclock to 3733MHz and then overclocked our infinity fabric to match. By doing so, we stay coupled to the infinity fabric giving us better latency with similar read/write performance.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with GeIL’s EVO X II’s and think it adds just the right amount of pop to my system.
Great job, GeIL!
