Final Thoughts & Conclusion
ASRock has checked all the boxes on this board and didn’t make any compromises to do it. From the latest I/O and connectivity, to segment leading features like 10 gigabit Ethernet, you can rest assured you are getting the best in every category. Everything about this board is fast, but if you need more, it has no issues overclocking as far as your particular parts will go. In fact, we actually managed the best ram overclock on our Corsair Dominator kit we’ve ever gotten, and pushing 8 or more cores to the max won’t be an issue either if our Intel i7-7820X overclock is any indication.
The grey and black aesthetics should go well with any build, and the overall look of the board is quite aggressive with everything angled into the arrow shaped chipset heatsink that points forward. We find this pretty fitting, if you go with the ASRock X299 Professional Gaming i9, you won’t be looking back. Great job ASRock!
Given the sub $400 street price, great looks and the impressive feature list and abilities of this board, we have no qualms about awarding this our Highly Recommended award.
