Jetway NC84E-LFToday’s review of the NC84E-LF has been a long time coming.  I want to apologize to Jetway for the delay. However, I’ve never had so much trouble reviewing a product before. In the process of bringing this motherboard review to you, I destroyed 2 dvdrw’s, a harddrive and a power supply. Not only that, but I had several non-review related hardware failures. Waiting for my RMA to the business I bought them from to go through, time got away from me.

This is a IPC or micro-atx board and I’m very impressed with it. With HT 3.0, DDR2 800 Support, SATA2, GIGABIT Lan, HD AUDIO, DVI, HDMI, MINI PCI-e and E-SATA, this plucky little board is ready to be your HTPC… now!

870a-ud3The 870 chipset maybe aimed at the person looking for a lower end motherboard but it offers the user much more. We started this article classifying the board as an entry model, which it is. But the 870A-UD3 does not offer you Crossfire but does offer high speed memory support and decent overclocking for those that wish to take their systems to the next level at another time.

asrock 890gm pro3Over the course of the last two weeks you have seen reviews from us based on the 890GX chipset which can be read here and here. The 890GX chipset came in the form of mATX first from most companies. Asrock took the high road and release a full-sized model. A board that we were really fond of. But now we get to place on the bench Asrock's latest micro ATX board entitled the 890GM Pro3.

gigabyte fxa890-ud5Yes, the new Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 gives you all the benefits of the 890FX chipset.  They have even given the chipset a bit of Gigabyte's own prescription. The resulting medicine would be the ability to unlock the extra cores on X3 and X4 Athlon II and Phenom II processors. This ability is no longer present within the chipset, but integrated in the motherboard via a hardware mounted IC. Another Gigabyte exclusive is the Ultra Durable 3 Technology, which means that two ounces of copper is placed into each PCB for better heat dissipation and stability.

asrock p55 extremeThe P55 Extreme is an example of Asrock's new vision on motherboard development. The P55 Extreme is the second highest model of the four motherboards from Asrock released on September 8th. The other three models are the Deluxe, Pro and M Pro which is their micro ATX version. The Extreme offers all the options and features that make Gigabyte, ASUS and MSI P55 the great motherboards they are: high quality capacitors, a well planned out overclocking BIOS and a beautifully layout. However, is it enough to warrant your hard earned money? We will see.

Jetway NF96FL-510-LFJetway's website lists this beauty for use as ATM, Automation, medical Equipment, Security, Networking, POS, General Application, Gaming Machine and Transportation systems. Though I might be a bit skeptical of the gaming machine claim, the new Intel Atom D510 might just be able to deliver when coupled with the new Pineview chipset and Intel GMA HD 3150. Read on to find out what you can expect from this board.

asrock 890gx extreme3Now that AMD has removed the ACC feature from the CPU that many companies have relied on to unlock the extra cores on these processors, it is up to the motherboard manufacturers to use their brains to come up with a way for consumers to get the 'free CPU upgrade'. Asrock's way of doing this is called UCC. This is a simple BIOS option, implemented into the board. The UCC allows the unlock of extra cores when the processor is capable.
